I am a tutor with a passion for giving back and I do so through education because it is the most valuable way I know. My style is to make sessions fun. Growing up with Schoolhouse Rock and other educational programs that I can recite to this day, my learning was fun. That is why I have used chants, dances, cheers, and rhymes "” anything that will help students learn. I am an interactive tutor, having my students share with me how they learn while I give them tips, mnemonics, and tricks.I attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I received my bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Science and I intend to be a physical therapist. In Pittsburgh, I helped tutor and mentor grade school and middle school students for three years as a volunteer for the Shadyside Boys and Girls Club. I have tutoring experience with reading comprehension, vocabulary, algebra, and numerous other subjects. I have helped students in high school and college with essay writing, including editing, proofing for spelling and grammar, paragraph structure, syntax, and maintaining point of view, voice, and tense.In my spare time, I enjoy staying active with running, dance, and soccer. I also love music in all forms "” live, videos, radio, etc.
